What's your "Front Row Story"?

Have you ever felt like you didn't quite fit the mold?

This week, I'm excited to share something special with you - a song I wrote called "On the Front Row," along with some thoughts about embracing our unique paths in life with the power of our intention. That means paying attention, thinking productively, and coming together to lift each other and accomplish worthy goals.

This song intertwines beautifully with a memorable tale from Dr. Wayne Dyer's childhood. His teacher labeled him a "disturbing element" in class as a young student. Mishearing the phrase, Young Wayne went home puzzled about being called a "scurvy elephant"! Instead of letting this label diminish him, he wore it as a badge of honor, encouraging others to embrace their "disturbing" qualities that challenge the status quo. Dr. Wayne Dyer is now remembered as the father of motivation and has inspired millions.

Sometimes, our greatest gifts - authenticity, creativity, and drive - can make others uncomfortable.

But isn't that precisely what the world needs?

Sara Blakely, the creator of Spanx, was given Wayne's tapes by her father when she was only a child. His teachings instilled in her courage and excitement for life. His message about the power of intention and authenticity helped her navigate challenging times and eventually build something revolutionary - all because she dared to solve a problem and believe in her solution. She knew she was meant to make a difference in her heart, which is what she did. She vividly described her dream of being a businesswoman and philanthropist.

"The only way to achieve the impossible is to believe it is possible."

- Sara Blakely

Whether you're facing personal challenges, pursuing an unconventional dream, or supporting someone who is, remember, those qualities that make you a "scurvy elephant" might be your greatest gifts to the world.

This week, I encourage you to:

  • Embrace your front-row spirit.

  • Celebrate what makes you different.

  • Support others in their authentic journey.

  • Know that challenges can lead to extraordinary ideas.

The song concludes with: "Hold that picture," reminding us to see and believe it if we want to achieve it!

Here's to all of us "scurvy elephants," making life much richer by daring to be exactly who we are.
